Method

Almond Wash Dickel

Soak almond butter in whisky for 12 hours, then filter through a coffee filter (you can also use a fresh Chux here if you don’t have filters)

 

Tawny Reduction Port

Combine Port and sugar and simmer for 30 minutes or until reduced to the consistency of honey.

 

Miso Seasoning

Mix water and miso until the miso is dissolved. Filter through Muslin cloth or a fresh Chux.

 

To Assemble

In a mixing glass, add 60ml of the Almond Wish Dickel, 10ml of Tawny Reduction and a bar spoon of Miso Dressing – this is to taste, it can make the drink salty, be sure not to overdo it. It should be built like an Old Fashioned.

Add 2 dashes of orange bitters.

Serve on large cut ice with cinnamon and orange.
