As April approaches at a rapid rate, one thing has become very clear, summer is fading into the distance at a rapid rate.

The days are shorter, the leaves are browning off and the air is cool and crisp. This is the perfect time to pack your bags and chase the sun, up north in Byron Bay. With a music festival in full swing, markets galore, and a plethora of yummy places to eat, the world is at your bare feet. A long weekend, the sand between your toes, the sun on your back and not a care in the world…now doesn’t that sound just dandy?

A morning walk to the lighthouse

Pretty much a staple activity for anyone venturing to Byron Bay for longer than 24 hours. The views are smashing and the 3.7km loop will take you less than an hour, so there is no need for the hiking boots and poles.

Byron Bay Blues Fest

It might have to be a last-minute purchase, but you will not regret popping into the festival with one of the most diverse line-ups out there. The likes of Tash Sultana, Lionel Richie and Seal are making an appearance – will you?

The Farm at Byron Bay

An 80-acre farm and macadamia orchard just outside of Byron Bay – could anything sound more rustic and lush? Head to the Three Blue Ducks for a meal, take a tour and check out all the happenings on the farm, or simply find your own patch of grass, kick back and relax.

Stone & Wood Brewery

If you need to spend an afternoon away from the beach, then look no further than the Stone & Wood. A beautiful place where you can experiment with seasonal beers or enjoy your usual pale ale.

Harvest at Newrybar

It’s Byron Bay, so a sustainably-run restaurant is pretty much a must! Harvest is sustainable, delicious and very on trend at the moment. Come for a meal and leave feeling like the most virtuous version of yourself possible.

Byron Bay Community Market

The Byron community market will show you the true face behind Byron and the Northern Rivers region, well before the health retreats moved into town. These markets are only on once a month, so be sure to pop in because there is a bit of wait until the next one.

The Byron at Byron Resort & Spa

Get into the full Byron zone at The Byron at Byron. Wake up in a forest canopy with the distant hum of nature filling your ears and take in the beauty of Byron’s beautiful rainforest. The perfect place to relax and unwind just minutes out of Byron Bay’s bustling centre.
