While we’ve been in denial that winter is just around the corner, the team at Customs House has been hard at work ensuring that Brisbane has a trendy new place to enjoy this chilly season. In partnership with Absolut Vodka, Customs House is opening a winter pop-up bar that is set to turn up the heat.

The pop-up will play host to a range of life-sized igloos overlooking the Brisbane River. Decked out with Nordic-style interiors, faux fur throws and cosy furnishings, visitors can sit back, cuddle up and enjoy the chilly change.

The signature cocktail, the Spiced Absolut Winter, is not one to be missed. The mix of Absolut vodka and cranberry juice is infused with star anise, cloves, orange and topped with meringue foam. Best of all, it’s served warm.

As you sip on this mouth-watering concoction, you’ll also be able to enjoy a delectable assortment of international cheeses, as well as bar snacks such as crispy pork belly sliders, freshly shucked Coffin Bay oysters and crumbed cauliflower. While it might seem hard to find room for dessert, it’s well worth indulging in the chocolate fondue with strawberries and marshmallows.

Customs House’s pop-up is keeping Brisbane warm until the end of August, so don’t miss your opportunity to cosy up with a cocktail in hand at this winter wonderland.
