With foundations firmly planted in the sands of Manly Beach, The Pantry Manly’s panoramic beachscape views create the ultimate day-to-night dining destination. Offering a selection of mouth-watering breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner options, this dining destination is all about celebrating the good things in life.
The contemporary restaurant is housed in Manly’s historic Beach House, which was built in 1919 as a teahouse and changing room. It later became an information kiosk before transforming into a restaurant in 1997.
When an opportunity arose to purchase the The Pantry Manly restaurant in 2016, Zeynep and Sean Blasdall jumped right in. Despite this being their first venture, they have always had a passion for great food and wine and made their own mark on the friendly beachside venue.
With only the best ingredients stocking their shelves, Zeynep and Sean felt it was only right to name their restaurant The Pantry Manly. They have collaborated with local producers, growers and suppliers to ensure the menu showcases the best of what the region has to offer. Succulent meat dishes, freshly caught seafood and moreish share plates are complemented by an extensive wine, craft beer and cocktail list.
The duo enlisted the help of UK chef, John Wycherley (Frasers Restaurant), to oversee the fare at The Pantry Manly. Ever since he was a child, John has had a passion for growing his own ingredients and for paddock to plate style cooking – something he brings with him to The Pantry Manly. Using local meats, eggs, seafood, herbs, fruit and vegetables, John executes a menu that carefully balances classic and innovative offerings.
Start your morning with the brioche French toast topped with spiced poached pear, candied pecans, ginger crystals and vanilla cream, as you enjoy uninterrupted views of the ocean. More savoury options include a veggie breakfast board, and a wild mushroom and gruyere tart with rocket, prosciutto, asparagus and a poached egg. These options can be perfectly paired with a Pantry breakfast juice – apple, apricot nectar, lime, ginger and fresh mint.
As the afternoon rolls around, relax with a few plates of tapas; think chilli and garlic prawns, grilled chorizo and beer battered zucchini flowers, as well as a cold drink from the impressive list.
The venue is also the perfect spot for a moonlit dinner. Indulge in a handmade pasta dish, a roast rack of Junee lamb or the seared yellowfin tuna.
With a feel that is more beachside cafe than upmarket restaurant, The Pantry Manly features wooden floorboards and timber tables and chairs, with comfortable leather couches and floor-to-ceiling glass windows, offering striking views of Manly Beach.
The Pantry Manly is dedicated to looking after all who walk through the doors. With unparalleled views of the nearby beach, exceptional food and wine offerings and friendly, attentive service, The Pantry Manly offers all the good things in life at one convenient location.
