The sixth location for Belle’s Hot Chicken is now open for business – serving up the good stuff full steam ahead on Steam Mill Lane.

Morgan McGlone’s cult-followed chicken shop has taken over one of the coveted freshly renovated spots in the new Darling Square precinct. Following the success of Barangaroo and Tramsheds in Sydney, the people have spoken and Belle listened with the launch of their new 82-seat venue that is chock-a-block with treats, exclusive to this swanky new restaurant.

While the menu will feature much of the same fried chicken-y goodness as its Melbourne and Sydney siblings, Darling Square is the first to boast Belle’s Hot Chicken’s very own minimal intervention wine label on their menu. Dubbed ‘Little Darling’, the wines are the product of a collaboration with Unkel Wines’ Rob Burley and Barney Flanders from Côtier Wines. McGlone explains, ‘At Belles, we care as much about the juice as we do our chicken, so creating our own wine seemed like the next natural step.’ Too right you are.

That’s not the only prayer that Belle’s at Darling Square has answered. Solving the age-old question of ‘where to get a hungover feed of fried chicken before midday on weekends’, Belle’s is getting things sizzling for brunch every Saturday and Sunday. Yep, good old-fashioned southern style chicken waffles and a Bloody Mary to boot, all from 11:30 am.

To turn matters up a notch, they’ve collaborated with Westmont Pickles on their Bloody Mary recipe to create a deliciously pickly and salty concoction when combined with freshly pressed tomato juice and cayenne pepper. It’s the most gourmet hangover cure you’ll probably ever come across.

The brunch party (did we mention it’s BOTTOMLESS?!) is rolling out over all Belle’s Hot Chicken outlets across Sydney and Melbourne. A fifty will score you two blissful hours of stuffing your face with as much chicken and as many cocktail jugs as you can physically manage. It’s a challenge that we’re more than willing to take up.

There’s never not a good time for fried chicken. Especially when it’s all served piping hot and with sustainable wines. Go on, treat yourself…
