Whether you’re heading for a pre-dinner drink at the rooftop bar or a celebratory dinner in the restaurant, a visit to the one- star Michelin establishment, Braci is a must.
The restaurant is named after the Italian word for embers, signifying its national heritage and style of cooking. The dining concept is an exclusive private kitchen that showcases well-known, owner and chef-restaurateur, Beppe De Vito’s creative approach to Italian food, inspired by his personal memories and travels around the world. Drawing on one of the world’s most primitive forms of cooking, the chefs take full advantage of the Shichirin grill and Josper oven.
With the kitchen as the centrepiece for an evening of gastronomy and entertainment, you will enjoy watching masterful chefs orchestrating ingredients like magicians to produce menu items worthy of the world’s best connoisseurs. It’s no accident this venue was rewarded with a one Michelin star.
The bar is perfect for sunset and pre-dinner drinks. You can indulge in contemporary cocktails and original Braci signatures made with the freshest ingredients – all prepared a la minute to ensure that the flavours are at their freshest and brightest on every sip. You can also enjoy a snack at the bar like the Foie Gras Semifreddo, Kumquats and Fig Vincotto and Beef Tartare, Smoked Marrow and Baby Gem. All menu items are dependent on seasonal availability.
Enjoy a Surprise four-course degustation, or the Epicurean or Gourmand five-course meals, all only available for the whole table. You can also choose from the a la carte menu with starters like Snails with pumpkin, dill
and Tuscan cabbage or King Crab Squid Ink Fregola with Sardinian artichokes. For mains, you can’t go past the Lamb Rack with sandy carrots, lovage and olives, or you may prefer a Japanese Sea Bass with clams, pink garlic and miso.
Whatever you choose, you must celebrate in style with an Italian dessert like the Gianduiotto with Frangelico cream and hazelnuts or the Capri Chocolate, Caramel, Coffee & Bay Leaf Gelato.
The casual-luxe establishment seats only 20 guests in its intimate and modern dining space, and thirty guests at the outdoor bar, overlooking the Singapore River and expansive cityscape. Perched high above a restored heritage shophouse on Boat Quay, Braci is an exclusive Italian hideaway with food that is real, passionate and fresh while turning tradition on its head.
Beppe is well-known in Singapore for his collection of unique, high-quality restaurants under the banner of the ilLido Group, bringing his native cuisine to an appreciative Singaporean audience. After racking up an impressive set of skills and experiences in F&B establishments across Europe and the United States, Beppe established his impressive array of successful restaurant brands, including the stylish Italian wine bar SONS in Chinatown, rooftop oyster bar Southbridge at Boat Quay, elegant Italian restaurant Art in the Central Business District, and Aura at the National Gallery Singapore.
Make sure you secure a booking well ahead. Meanwhile, head to the rooftop bar for a sip of bubbles to tantalize the taste-buds. You will definitely be back for more.
