In the heart of downtown Singapore, you cannot miss a visit to the opulent, art deco bar, ATLAS. Its stand- out gin shelves rise 30 metres, with over 1,000 different bottles of gin backlit for everyone to enjoy, and beneath the bar lies a rose gold walk-in Champagne Room housing the rarest of champagnes. The grandeur of this bar will appeal to all your senses from the moment you enter, and vintage wines, exquisite cocktails and an exceptional experience await.
Inspiration for ATLAS was drawn from the architecture of the opulent Parkview Square building on North Bridge Road – a passion project of C. S. Hwang, the late Chairman of the Chyau Fwu Group. When his granddaughter, Vicky Hwang, and husband, Vincent Pieron, took over the management of the building in 2013, they wanted to create something special, while staying true to the developer’s original vision.
From their dream, ATLAS was born. Both lobby and bar pay homage to the grand European hotels of the 1920s, 30s and 40s. Dedicated to providing an elegant drinking and dining experience for any occasion, ATLAS has fast become not only a local landmark, but an authentic journey through time to this rich historical and artistic period.
The wine list keeps any eye on rare and vintage drops and you will find full-bodied burgundies to juicy chiantis and golden cuvées. A full wine team is on hand to assist with your preferences and ensure every desire is met.
Step deeper into the Art Deco period in Europe with the cocktail menu, which is inspired by the period’s art, jewellery, architecture and design along with a selection of temperance (non-alcoholic) cocktails and vintage martinis, ranging from 1910 to today.
Drinks are the main event at ATLAS, but they are accompanied by some great menu items. Try starting with Smoked Yellowfin Tuna Cigars with dill and orange, or the Bruschetta Triumph Of The Sea with blue prawn tartar, sea urchin & caviar. For mains, try the Lobster & Champagne Risotto with vinegar bubbles and lobster, or the Welsh Baby Lamb Rack with burnt eggplant cream, cucumber, yogurt & cumin.
Its stand-out gin shelves rise 30 metres, with over 1,000 different bottles of gin backlit for everyone to enjoy.
If you’re in for a celebration, why not have some bubbles with a dessert dish like the Hotel Palacio with plantain and feuilletine fritters, smoked ice cream & rum, or the Tonic Gâteaux Du Voyage with yuzu, basil & gin.
ATLAS serves up a compelling taste of a bygone era – combining exquisite food and drinks with lavish décor that captures the period’s decadence. From breathtaking ceiling murals to maroon-embroidered furnishings complete with glam metallic accents, one visit is simply not enough to take in all the intricate beauty – not to mention the culinary and imbibing experiences – ATLAS has to offer.
