Huxtaburger has moved into Melbourne’s 3011 postcode.
After conquering the CBD, Hawthorn, Collingwood, Prahran and Eastland, the cult-burger brand is ready to take on its next target, with the doors opening to the Footscray restaurant on 2 December.
The fit-out, designed by Studio-Y, has taken inspiration from its edgy inner-west surroundings, with a nod to the area’s skate culture.
“The Footscray store marks the first of many, where Huxtabuger will incorporate hyper-local elements within its restaurant to embody its local environment,” says CEO, Matt Fickling. “Huxtalife isn’t about the ‘cookie-cutter’ approach, so we’re excited to see the brand refresh and a new direction for Huxtaburger to come to life.”
Armed with their adage ‘hot beef and cold beer’, this back-to-basics burger joint has been serving up sizzling, 100 percent grass-fed Wagyu beef patties since 2011 – sandwiching their creations between no-nonsense burger buns and all the right trimmings.
Pay a visit between 4pm and 7pm for happy hour ($5 wine and beer), and don’t forget to order crinkle-cut chips or hash bites on the side. Cover those bad boys with chipotle or dill salt and you have yourself a party.
