The venue formerly known as Foresters Hall has had a makeover, relaunching as Foresters Pub and Dining. With a fresh new look and menu, but the same approach to craft beer, it’s sure to jump a few spots on your ‘Smith Street on a Saturday night’ list.

The new pub still has some of its old favourite elements – the exterior remains the same, and the antique-style aesthetic continues to be mirrored in the interiors with ornate wallpaper and retro furnishings. Once you enter, things start to look a little different. The huge space is now choc-a-block with tables and booths, providing even more spots to get comfy with a pint and a pizza. The bar still runs the length of the space, offering taps upon taps of craft beer and a whole range of spirits and wines.

When it come to the fare, the team were inspired by their award-winning sister restaurant, The Terminus Hotel Fitzroy North. With their new look, they’ve given the menu a good shake of the sauce bottle, placing an emphasis on offering high-quality pub food. You’ll find premium chargrilled steaks, a classic parma and a mouth-watering range of burgers. The menu will be available until 10pm, catering for those who like to eat a little later on in the night. This new menu joins an existing Foresters favourite – pizzas are still being served until 2am.

A host of new daily specials complete the revamp. Collingwood Locals Night on Mondays includes $15 pub classes, while Thursday will now be known as trivia night, hosted by Jaws Entertainment.

It’s not just the main room that’s had a change. Upstairs venue Woody’s Bar is now home to live band karaoke from 10pm every Wednesday and an eclectic mix of live bands every Friday and Saturday. There’s even a karaoke machine to keep the party going. With a continuation of the 4am license from Thursday to Saturday, expect early morning sing-alongs to become a regular occurrence!
