When a health food store has been around since 1973, you know it’s doing something right. Replenish was one of the first stores to bring good-for-you foods to Melbourne, selling fantastic products with passion and knowledge.
Over 40 years later, they dish up that same enthusiasm about all things wellness.
Glyn Bennetts and Jo Sexton Bennetts are teenage sweethearts, and both possess a burning passion for wellness. Jo turned her back on eating meat in her teens, and Glyn was always heavily involved
in sport. They both come from different backgrounds, with Glyn in transport and Jo in Human Resources, but when they started a family they wanted more flexibility.
In 1973 the store began as a bulk food business selling oats and grain products. It evolved to be one of Melbourne’s first health food stores and 20 years later, when the duo purchased the business, it was still branded as Williamstown Health Food. Glyn and Jo dove in, and gave the shop a serious face- lift, creating a one-stop health shop. They changed the name to Replenish, believing it encompassed the idea of total health and overall wellbeing. To help communicate their vision, Glyn and Jo continue to employ like-minded people who share their passion for wellness, including naturopaths, nutritionists and lovers of organic products.
‘From certified organic fruit and vegetables to organic groceries, organic skincare, natural cleaning products and bulk foods, Replenish boasts an all-encompassing range.‘
The shop isn’t huge, but it is packed with all your organic grocery and health food supplies. Replenish offers a huge range, and is committed to selling anything clean and green. Glyn and Jo understand the natural health industry and its ability to constantly change and grow. They are both constantly on the look out for new products to keep up with consumer demand, so you’re sure to find whatever you’re looking for.
From certified organic fruit and vegetables to organic groceries, organic skincare, natural cleaning products and bulk foods, Replenish boasts an all-encompassing range. It offers superfoods such as chia seeds, maca powder and raw protein powders, and also has an extensive range of vitamins such as Herbs of Gold, Healthy Essentials, Fusion and Ethical Nutrients.
The store also caters for the explosion in the fermented, raw and vegan food trends. You can find an extensive range of sauerkrauts, kimchi and fermented food products, or enjoy a cold glass of Grateful Harvest Kombucha on tap with a slice of raw, vegan cake from Naked Treaties.
On top of supplying your weekly provisions, Replenish also provides services to improve your overall health. The store offers naturopathic services and food sensitivity testing to help your health and wellbeing.
With a longstanding relationship with the local community and over 20 years of expertise, there’s no doubt Replenish is your all-in-one store for health food.
