Get ready to get sweaty in the heart of the CBD. Yoga Corner is a quiet retreat nestled within the hustle and bustle of Melbourne and the perfect space for CBD residents, professionals and students to find stillness amongst the pressures of everyday life.

After joining the corporate world and working in London, founder Amy Leonard knew it wasn’t the right fit for her, and found herself drawn to the sanctity of the yoga mat.

One year later, she quit her job and flew to Morocco with yoga teaching academy yogahaven UK, undertaking her first 200-hour teacher training. She dreamed of opening a hot yoga studio in her hometown of Melbourne and launched Yoga Corner in 2014.

Amy’s passion is guiding people to explore and understand themselves completely. Her calming presence allows her to deliver classes that students will find physically and mentally grounding, driving self-awareness.

Suiting the Melbourne laneway culture, Yoga Corner embodies the idea of being tucked away in the lanes of the city and is a space dedicated to time away from the busyness of life. It was also the first boutique hot yoga studio in the CBD. It is a home away from home where students can work towards creating better health, wellbeing and overall balance in their lives. The heated yoga classes assist the muscles to warm up and allow for deeper mobility and increased cardiovascular activity.

You’re bound to get sweaty, with the studio heated to 37C for the Hot Yoga classes, and Vinyasa Flow and Yin Yoga keeping you cosy at a temperate 27C.

All levels of experience are welcome with a team of passionate, welcoming, understanding and fully qualified teachers, offering 60-minute classes morning, noon and night. Renowned for getting to know each of their students’ names after only a few classes, the teachers take each and every student’s journey seriously. Offering casual classes, weekly and monthly passes and memberships, there’s a session to suit every body and every need.

Transitioning from the yoga mat back to your office is made seamless with custom-built showers and changing rooms, allowing students to head back into the day feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

And if you need a quick refuel before heading back to work, the studio includes a small retail area where you can stock up on all your favourite provisions. Dedicated to supporting other local and Australian businesses, Yoga Corner may tempt you with a refreshing juice from Emma and Tom’s or hydrating coconut water from Natural Raw C. You can even deck yourself out with your favourite yoga gear with sustainable, ethical goodies from Dharma Bums and Earth Bottles.
