Greenfields Albert Park
35/37 Lakeside Drive, Melbourne, VIC
Set in the peaceful surrounds of Albert Park Lake, Greenfields is a sanctuary for all things health, mind and body. The four-in-one lifestyle hub is host to a mindful eatery, function venue, and yoga and meditations sessions for the health conscious Melburnian.
The relaxing haven boasts picturesque views of Albert Park Lake and the golf course, and an escape from the bustle of the CBD. It is also pet friendly, open for breakfast, lunch and Sunday picnics. Hailing from the kitchens of Maha and St Ali, Head Chef, Nick Korceba, has developed a menu inspired by colour, with fresh and healthy flavours designed to leave you feeling energised and revitalised.
After a long walk around the lake, stop by for breakfast and enjoy millet porridge cooked in coconut water with coyo vanilla ice cream, dragonfruit and burnt almond brittle; or roasted baby cauliflowers with activated chickpeas, tahini dressing and macadamia dukkah. Eggs are on the ready and sides include zucchini chips with aioli.
For lunch market fish is served with barbecued shitake, soba noodle and miso salad, and wilted greens; or vegetarians can opt for the panko fried halloumi burger with oregano hummus, alfalfa and grilled pepper salad.
If you’re just ducking in for a quick break, Greenfields has the perfect pick me up selection. Your caffeine buzz is sorted with coffee from Sensory Lab, or choose from a large range of healthy drink options including coconut water, kombucha, Greene Street Juices, organic colas, freshly made juices and smoothies.
Go green with the apple, kiwi, lime, spinach, celery, honey and mint juice; or indulge the healthy way with the Mayan choc shake, a delicious blend of almond milk, avocado, cocoa, banana, honey and cinnamon. Pair either with an Ace cookie or Pana chocolate, and you’ve got yourself a very mindful morning tea.
Weekends call for something on the naughty side, and Greenfield’s ‘Lakeside Picnic Baskets’ should do the trick. Filled with delicious local and organic cheeses and a cheeky bottle of wine or sparkling, they’re the ultimate way to kick back and relax.
An extensive list of wines, spirits and aperitifs are on call, or splash out with a cocktail. The Lakeside Breeze stirs up Belvedere pink grapefruit vodka, pink grapefruit juice, lemon, mint and soda.
The ‘Sunday Safari’ from 12pm offers live music, family orientated games, a barbecue and the aforementioned picnic baskets. If wine and cheese don’t do it for you, they also offer a raw basket with Pana chocolate and ice cream, Greene Street Juice and Ace cookies.
The fresh interiors of Greenfields have been designed by Alex Zabotto-Bentley from the award winning design agency, AZB Creative. The natural greenery and custom-made wooden features evoke a sense of relaxation and the outdoor wicker chairs add a boho vibe to the zen den. The open-plan light-filled space is the perfect canvas for any event with an alfresco terrace built to entertain.
For a holistic escape just minutes from the city, you know where to go.
