A green smoothie a day keeps the doctor away. Green Cup is focusing on healthy living, allowing you to enjoy the positive effects of freshly blended vegetables, fruit and tasty superfoods in one cup.

Owners, Natalie and Simon Guest, have always been interested in health and fitness. The duo discovered green smoothies and fell in love with the way they made them feel. Getting creative, their kitchen was turned into a science lab, whipping up wild combinations with ingredients from spinach, kale and zucchini to bok choy, mint and cucumber – among many other non-green flavours. Sampling each of their creations daily, Simon and Natalie were overwhelmed by how much better they felt and wanted to share this with others.

Opening their first store on Chapel Street in late 2014 before expanding to High Street, Armadale, the following year, both spaces are as simple as their philosophy.

Inspired by a minimalist design, white exposed walls sit by small wooden tables where customers can pull up a stool. Wooden shelves feature high quality products available for purchase, and the large front window fills the space with natural light. It’s the perfect spot to watch the world go by, listening to the eclectic soundtrack of both old school hip hop and modern beats. However, most visitors dash in and out, grabbing their fuel for the day as take-away options. Come Saturday morning, it’s not uncommon to see a line out the door, with dozens waiting for their smoothie fix.

‘All smoothies are made fresh to order and retain all the pulp and fibre of the ingredients, making each cup a meal in itself.’

Green Cup uses high quality fresh produce to create delicious and nutritious smoothies. The superfoods found in your cup are sourced from Loving Earth, the fresh produce comes from Yarra Valley farms, and many boutique retail items come from Australian businesses. All smoothies are made fresh to order and retain all the pulp and fibre of the ingredients, making each cup a meal in itself.

Order The Green Cup with banana, kale, spinach, strawberries, mesquite, blueberries, chia, date, parsley, flax oil, spirulina and coconut water, or for a sweeter start to the day, try the Peanut Butter Cup with house-made peanut butter, almond milk, coconut nectar dates and chia.

For something a little different, try one of the bowls, like the blend of acai, banana and almond milk, topped with blueberries and Irrewarra granola. Grab a snack on your way out – the raw house-made superfood snacks will conquer any afternoon cravings, while the raw desserts replace the need for reaching into the chocolate stash.

There’s no guesswork at Green Cup. The smoothie bar does exactly what it promises, dishing up delicious green and superfood smoothies that are sure to keep you feeling fresh and fabulous all day long.
