The new, fresh flavours being infused into gin has brought life into the alcoholic drink of old. Whether you’re drinking it, cooking with it or curing in it – today’s gin has come a long way.

And leading the way with this gin frenzy, The Mill House on Flinders Lane has launched a Gin Club – a series of events that showcase an array of guest gin distillers.

Kicking things off is one of our favourites – Yarra Valley distillery, Four Pillars Gin. Samuel Ng, Four Pillars’ ambassador, will be hosted by The Mill House on August 31st to explain the intricacies of the gin-making process as well as the art behind finding the perfect blend.

No event is complete without a few little nibbles, and the gin theme carries on to the canapés on offer, including prawn crackers with gin cured salmon and Peruvian fried chicken wings. Pair these with a delicious ‘GINuine Negroni’ or a ‘Flinders Lane Fling’ and you are in for quite the night.

The Mill House will be continuing with similar gin-infused events throughout spring, with a new distiller each week to tell their own stories and tips and tricks for the perfect G&T – delicious and educational.

Don’t miss opening night though – the first 100 guests to arrive after 6pm merely need to utter the code phrase “Come together, get undone” and their first gin and tonic will be on the house.
