Allpress Espresso Brisbane

Allpress Espresso has long made its mark on Brisbane’s coffee scene, supplying over 20 local cafes with its blessed beans for years.
With every cup of coffee, Brisbane has asked for more, and Allpress has listened – opening its first stand-alone shopfront in November.
Owned by New Zealand-born businessman Michael Allpress, the specialty coffee roaster has been dishing out beans and brews since 1988. Since then, it’s conquered Sydney in 2000, Melbourne shortly after and moved on up to the Sunshine State to show them how it’s done. Brisbane’s instalment looks and feels a lot like its forerunners, with an airy space and industrial feel. Timber floors are locally sourced and the space’s original Oregon trusses have been lovingly restored. Topped off with lush greenery, the smell of roasting coffee and the happy hum of regulars, it sounds like Allpress has done it again.
“Having a presence in Queensland is a key component of our plan [to grow] and we have found the perfect location in East Brisbane to establish our long-term home in this thriving coffee market,” says General Manager Greg Glubb.
In the new venue, the Allpress crew will be pouring cup after cup of their signature Carmelo blend, with rich caramel and cocoa flavours. Rotating guest blends will also be featured, such as the special Christmas blend – complete with sugar, spice and all things nice to celebrate the festive season.
Allpress’ simple, yet effective approach to food has also found its way to the new Brisbane new menu. Expect to see classics such as buckwheat granola with yoghurt and berry compote alongside the signature Allpress mixed plate, with toast, provolone, goat’s curd, boiled eggs, tomato, avocado and smoked salmon.
Allpress Espresso opened in East Brisbane on 20 November and is serving up coffee, breakfast and sweet treats five days a week.
